Each year during the first Saturday in June, outdoor enthusiasts across the country come together to celebrate America’s magnificent trail system on National Trails Day.
The City of League City will participate in National Trails Day by hosting a free community event with games, giveaways, and activities.
Come out and join the fun on Saturday, June 2 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ghirardi Family Watersmart Park located at 1805 Louisiana Ave.
Outdoor activities for the day will include archery (training provided by park staff), mini painting in the park sessions, an inflatable water slide, inflatable soccer darts, fun games along the trail, outdoor bingo, and more. Vendors will be set up along the trail.
Trail participants can take advantage of the free shuttle by parking at Goforth Elementary, 2610 Webster St., or add few extra steps to their trail experience by walking to the park.
