The City of League City is seeking public input on the North Kansas Avenue reconstruction project.
A public meeting is set for Feb. 22, 6:30 p.m., at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center (400 W. Walker St., League City, Texas 77573).
The League City community is invited to participate in the design process through the public meeting. City representatives and Jones and Carter, the city’s design professionals, will be on-hand to answer questions, address concerns and gather feedback on various aspects of the project to better assist officials in furthering design plans.
Jones and Carter has been contracted to perform the civil engineering design, land surveying, and construction phase services on the North Kansas Avenue reconstruction project (RE1702A) – which is a part of the city’s reinvestment program.
Project scope includes pavement reconstruction, water line and sanitary sewer line replacement within the right-of-way, drainage improvements, and construction of a trail on North Kansas Avenue from 4th Street to Clear Creek. Design will consist of roadside ditches with stormwater inlets instead of a more formal curb and gutter design in order to maintain a rural aesthetic; a drainage ditch and utility improvements may be designed within the existing right-of-way.
Public input may also be submitted to the City’s Engineering Department at candace.blalock@leaguecity.com or (281) 554-1451.
