The privilege of speaking at this time is limited to the following persons: residents, persons having an ownership interest in property or a business within the City, or their attorneys. A statement of no more than 3 minutes may be made. There will be no yielding of time to another person. State law prohibits members of the Planning and Zoning Commission from commenting on any statement or engaging in dialogue without an appropriate agenda item being posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. Comments should be directed to the entire Planning and Zoning Commission, not individual members of the Planning and Zoning Commission or staff. If addressing a specific agenda item, speakers must keep their remarks specific to the item being considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Any speaker making personal attacks or using vulgar or profane language shall forfeit his/her remaining time and shall be seated.

 

IV.               Consent Agenda

A.     Consider and take action on a Final Plat - Magnolia Creek Section 5 Phase 2 (PLAT-17-0033), generally located along the north side of Spring Canyon Lane, east of Bay Area Boulevard, south of West League City Parkway, and west of Ashley Falls Lane.

B.      Consider and take action on a Final Plat - Magnolia Creek Section 13 (PLAT-17-0038), generally located at the eastern terminus of Magnolia Trace Drive, southern terminus of Bayou Cove Lane, and south of League City Parkway.

 

V.                  Old Business

A.     Make a recommendation to City Council on an amendment to Chapter 102 of the Code of Ordinance of the City of League City entitled, "Subdivisions", regarding street tree regulations. City staff is requesting to postpone this item until January 16, 2018.

I. Call to Order and Roll Call of Members
Douglas Turner opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m.

II. Approval of Minutes
A. December 4, 2017

Mr. Bindhammer made a motion to approve the December 4, 2017 minutes.
Mr. Alderman seconded the motion with a revision to the minutes.
The motion was passed by a vote of 7-0-0



III. Citizen Communication
No citizen comments were provided.

IV. Consent Agenda

A.
Consider and take action on a Final Plat –Magnolia Creek Section 5 Phase 2 (PLAT-17-0033), generally located along the north side of Spring Canyon Lane, east of Bay Area Boulevard, south of West League City Parkway, and west of Ashley Falls Lane.
B.
Consider and take action on a Final Plat –Magnolia Creek Section 13 (PLAT-17-0038), generally located at the eastern terminus of Magnolia Trace Drive, southern terminus of Bayou Cove Lane, and south of League City Parkway.

Korrie Becht, Senior Planner, stated these plats met all State and local requirements and City staff recommended approval.

Mr. Alderman made a motion to approve the Final Plats Magnolia Creek Sections 5, Phase 2 and Magnolia Creek Section 13.
Mr. Bindhammer seconded the motion.
The motion was passed by a vote of 7-0-0.



V. Old Business

A.
Make a recommendation to City Council on an amendment to Chapter 102 of the Code of Ordinance of the City of League City entitled, “Subdivisions”, regarding street tree regulations. City staff is requesting to postpone this item until January 16, 2018.

Ms. Legaux stated staff needed more time to prepare the amendment entitled, “Subdivisions” for the January 16, 2018 P & Z meeting.

Mr. Bindhammer made a motion to postpone item V. to January 16, 2018 P & Z meeting.
Ms. Arnold seconded the motion.
The motion passed by a vote of 7-0-0.



VI. Staff Comments
Ms. Legaux stated there will not be a January 2, 2018 meeting due to no zoning applications being submitted.
Mr. Bindhammer asked when will the commissioners meet the new Director of Planning and Development.
Mr. David Hoover, Director of Planning and Development introduced himself to the commissioners.



VII. Adjournment
Mr. Turner adjourned the meeting at 6:09 p.m.
