Engineering Dept Bids Bids that would originate from Engineering. Purchasing Dept Bids Formal bids on items over $50,000 in price. Purchasing Dept Quotes Informal quotes for items not expected to exceed $50,000. Request for Proposal A formal invitation for a vendor to submit a proposal to provide a good or service. Request for Qualifications A formal solicitation for a vendor to provide qualifications for future projects.
