Water Wise: Water Efficiency 2011
Water is an essential resources for our homes, businesses, and community. If you save water, you save money, energy, and help save the environment. The City of League City is committed to using water efficiently and helping residents use water wisely. Proclamation
Whereas, water is our most valuable resources; and
Whereas, tap water delivers public health protection, fire protection, support for our economy and the quality of the life we enjoy; and
Whereas, any measure of a successful society - low mortality rates, economic growth and diversity, productivity, and public safety - are all related to access to safe water; and
Whereas, we are all stewards of our water supply and infrastructure upon which future generations depend.
Now, therefore, I, Toni Randall, by virtue of the authority vested in me as the 8th Mayor of the City of League City do hereby declare the week of May 1-7, 2011 as
"National Drinking Water Week"
in the great City of League City and urge each citizen of our community to help protect our sources waters from pollution, to practice water conservation/efficient use of water, and to get involved in local water issues.
In witness whereof, I hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of League City, Texas, to be affixed on this 26th day of April 2011.
