    Amanda Vance, curator of the Texas City Museum, will speak about the museum's Juneteenth exhibit, which focuses on how and why Juneteenth was celebrated at The Settlement in Galveston County. The Settlement, which was in current-day Texas City, was an independent community of African Americans established after the end of the Civil War.
