League City's current trash service provider is Republic Waste Services and they can be reached at 1-800-942-9332. Collection days are either  Monday and Thursday, or Tuesday and Friday depending on where you live. All recycling is being picked up on Wednesdays. All garbage and recycling must be placed curbside by 7 a.m. for pickup.  Trash weighing more than 50lbs will not be picked up.  

Starting May 1, AmeriWaste will become the primary trash provider for League City’s 32,000 plus residential and commercial customers. Heavy Trash
Your heavy trash day is currently the second collection day of the week, heavy trash includes all green waste (grass clippings, bundled and tied tree limbs). View more information on what and how to place your heavy trash at curbside.

Note: If your pick up falls on the holiday, your garbage will be picked up on the next regularly scheduled day from your neighborhood. Garbage will not be picked up on the following holidays:
  • New Year's Day
  • Labor Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Independence Day
  • Christmas Day

*As stated in the contract with the City, the schedule is subject to change based on Republic Services schedule. Any changes will be communicated through the City's website, social media, and NextDoor.
