IT'S TIME TEXAS Community Challenge

The City of League City is encouraging all its residents and City employees to register and participate in the "IT'S TIME TEXAS Community Challenge," presented by H-E-B. The challenge is an 8-week competition that "unites and mobilizes schools, businesses, organizations, community members, and mayors toward the common goal of transforming the community's health."

League City will compete against other similar-sized communities and will earn points as community members participate and log their healthy activities, such as exercising,  uploading "healthy" selfies, tracking weight loss, eating healthy meals, and more.

The community with the most points in each size category will receive multiple prizes including an $1,800 community grant to put toward future health-related efforts. Individuals will be entered into drawings to win prizes such as gift cards and exercise equipment when they reach various point levels throughout the competition.  The more points you earn, the more chances you have to win!

The annual challenge is free to join and will run from now until March 3, 2019.

To register, visit IT'S TIME TEXAS and select League City under the “community/town” option.
