City ramps up tourism efforts with new Convention & Visitors Bureau administrator

Bryan Roller, CVB Administrator

The City of League City recently selected Bryan Roller to serve as the city’s Convention and Visitors Bureau Administrator beginning Jan. 17.

In this position, Roller will be responsible for strengthening and expanding tourism efforts through the development and implementation of programs that establish League City as a desirable destination for meetings, arts, cultural, and sporting events.  He is also charged with building collaborative partnerships throughout the region to enhance the city’s marketing efforts and activities.

“I am very excited and honored to join the city’s Convention and Visitors Bureau,” said Roller.  “With the existing facilities and attractions, the city has a great deal to offer meeting planners, sporting events and visitors. I'm ready to hit the ground running.”

He served as a Client Development Executive for Exhibitor Sales for Freeman Decorating prior to be selected for this position.  His responsibilities included developing, coordinating and executing the production of exhibits for customer events and tradeshows, arranging booth services, and assisting the facilitation of pre- and post-show transportation.

“His energy, expertise and professionalism will play a crucial role in bringing our strategic vision for tourism-related activities to fruition,” said Angel Lopez, Director of Communications and Media Relations.  “We welcome Bryan to the team and are excited for the many events and entertainment opportunities that await the entire League City community and tourists.”

Roller has more than 20 years of experience in tourism, athletics, media relations, special events, event installation, and the sales and tradeshow industry.  He was instrumental in establishing Pearland’s Convention & Visitors Bureau and organizing and managing special events such as the Pearland Texas Basketball Classic basketball tournament, the Bands of America Regional Marching Band Championships, familiarization tours, and site visits.  Additionally, Roller attained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a focus in public relations from Stephen F. Austin State University.
