June 3, 2018, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ LCPA
Dogs Playing for Life (DPFL) program is rooted in the notion that a dog’s natural instinct is to PLAY. Thanks to sponsorships from the Petco Foundation and ASPCA, DPFL instructors will be coming down to LCPA to host a DPFL seminar were will learn how to conduct dogie group play safely with our shelter dogs. The Program demonstrates both the practical efficiencies of play groups for the rescue organization, as well as the emotional and behavioral benefits for the animals.Play groups have proven to be a critical enrichment and assessment tool for shelters. The seminar is open to anyone interested in volunteering for DPFL. It is a wonderful event that can even teach you things that will help with your own dog at home. The seminar will be on June 1st - 2nd from 9 am - 5 pm on both days, lunch will be provided. To RSVP email Jasmine O’Keefe at firstname.lastname@example.org
